Coaching Testimonials
“
Zack has had an immense impact on my running performance, happiness and overall enjoyment of this sport. Taking the leap to invest in a coach has been far more productive than anything else I could have done to improve the time spent pursuing my goals.
Our interactions have met or surpassed every expectation I had regarding working with a coach. His experience, guidance, and ability to adapt to my requested format of weekly workouts, mileage/goals has been perfect. I'm grateful our paths have crossed and he's one of the best human beings all around you could have on your team.”
“Zack has helped coach me for the 2022 calendar year. I'm in my mid-30's and enjoy running trails now and want to get back into running longer distances as time progresses and my fitness returns. My ultimate goal is to feel comfortable at the 50k level and by the end of 2023 have logged at least a 100k event or potentially complete a 100 mile race. Zack has an amazing attitude and is always there for you when you have questions. Getting to speak with someone that is at the top of the running game is something I don't take for granted and I value each text he sends asking how things are going, what's the next week look like, can we ramp up/down for the week, etc. He's tailored specific training weeks out by day/mileage for me to make things very easy to follow since I stay busy with work and family. I feel it's been an honor having someone like Zack be my first run coach and provide guidance to me that I have never had before. I highly recommend Beavin Endurance if you are potentially looking for a running coach and I look forward to continuing my coach/runner relationship into the future with Zack!”
"Zack is an incredibly gifted runner, but also someone with a true passion for coaching, and someone who seeks to elevate the sport, as well as his athletes. It's not just about the numbers with Zack, but how you feel about a training plan, a goal or a cycle. I always get the sense that what we're working towards, no matter how ambitious, is within our reach."
“Zack is passionate about many things including an expertly crafted whiskey sour as well as Excel spreadsheets. However, nothing means more to Zack in the world than running. He’s plugged into the sport from the track to the roads and the trails with experience successfully racing on all of them to boot. He is incredibly knowledgeable about training and racing and always has his eye on the bigger picture of running as a lifelong journey and not just repeating training cycles. His passion for the sport is contagious and he has been growing the running community in and around Lexington through his work at John’s Run/Walk shop. There are very few people whose opinion I trust on running and training as much as I trust Zack’s. Anybody involved in the sport is lucky to know him and those who get to work with him in their own running journey are going to be incredibly fortunate.”

“
I work a pretty crazy work schedule and have two small children I spend a lot of time with. Zack has been great at helping me to structure my weekly running schedule. He’s even made several on the fly changes and restructuring to accommodate my crazy schedule or different problems that have popped up. I’d 100% recommend Zack as a running coach to anyone from an experienced ultra runner to someone starting out.”

“For over 15 years, I had the goal of breaking a 5-minute mile but could never do it. I had neither the knowledge nor the discipline to develop a successful plan and see it through. Zack listened, took my current health and other factors into consideration, and developed a plan to reach this relatively challenging goal. He tailored both the workout cycles and the specific workouts to fit my weekly routine and access (or lack thereof) to running places. We communicated regularly and he modified things as necessary to ensure I was being challenged but not overdoing it. He also sent milestones to gauge my progress. I thought this would take 6 months or more, but in for short months, including delays, I crushed my goal. Thanks Zack!”

“
Zack is genuine, inspiring, and a very motivational runner/running coach I have had the pleasure to work with. Zack was able to tailor a plan to fit my busy life and adjust on the fly to accommodate a couple issues I was experiencing. His tailored approach and automatic feedback helped me have confidence and continue to push forward even when I had some down weeks. I would not hesitate to work with Zack again and look forward to doing so.”
